jom rischon – 8 Nissan 5768 – Sunday – my computer like Balaam’s donkey

My computer still has a problem with the wireless network. I obviously have to be careful of rash judgments.

Today’s Bible texts speak to me again, as has often been the case. Of course, as always, if you want, you can speak of chance. The daily motto (lot) of the Moravian Church (Herrnhut) fell to Numbers 23:12:

12 He replied, “Must I not be careful to speak what the Lord puts in my mouth?”
(New Amrican Standard Bible (NASB)

“Then he answered (Balaam) and said: Do I not have to pay attention to what the Eternal One wants to put in my mouth to pay attention to?” (Self translation)

My computer – an ass! I have to laugh out loud that yesterday’s comparison of my computer with Balaam’s ass seems to be correct. The thing is dead serious. The internet access of my computer, by the way, recovered by invisible hand while I keep the diary. Hallelujah!

My internal motto (lot) is found in Psalm 35:18 and is called:

(New Amrican Standard Bible (NASB)
Let destruction come upon him unawares,
And let the net which he hid catch himself;
Into that very destruction let him fall.

When I think this verse speaks to me personally, my heart starts pounding a little higher.
