That has to do with the house that was “given” to me and my wife. On December 4th, 1985 we were able to buy the house we rented. The purchase price was so cheap that we didn’t have to use any additional funds other than the fees. For me, who had been looking for my own home for years, it was a great miracle from God.
At the moment I am experiencing the opposite, a minor disaster, a water ingress in the basement at the entry point of the water pipe for houses 51 to 39.
Investigations have shown that the drainage pipeline set up in 1979 could never be checked. Two SP.STs (flushing connecting pieces) drawn in the plan had no function for 42 years.
Now water is trickling into the house, which I discovered “by chance” while fetching a Shabbat wine this day. Many drops make a lot of water over time. In other words, the house is already in the water, which cannot be a permanent solution. It can be assumed that the drainage functioned for about 40 years.
We will probably have to pull in a new drainage pipe. This should be technically possible today in tunnel construction, but it means a considerable financial outlay.
