“JAHWEH is represented in this picture as the comprehensive one, for whom the clouds of dust at his feet are: gracious and powerful, but also punitive when his children disobey him. JAHWEH wants His people to return to Israel voluntarily. All who have this wish, He will help in His goodness. Those who do not want to hear, He will hunt with hunters. ”

 

 

I repeat the appeal of April 7, 2014:

The daily motto (lot) of the Moravian Brethren in Deuteronomy 4:24 is also a serious word:

כי יהוה אלהיך אש אכלה

הוא אל קנא

ki YAHWEH eloheicha esch ochlah

hu el kana

 

“For JAHWEH, your God, is a consuming fire.

 

 

He is a jealous God! ” (Own translation)

The daily mottos (lots) are usually repeated approximately every three years. The word in Deuteronomy 4:24 was last relevant on September 28, 2002. That was the 8th day of Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles. Today, April 14, 2014 is Erew Passover, the eve of the exodus from Egypt. The inclined readers notice something.
