yom chamishi – 11 Tishrei 5776 – Who is YAH?

“My strength and hymn of praise is YAH, and HE became my salvation.” (Psalm 118:14, own translation, internal motto (lot))

עזי וזמרת יה ויהי-לי לישועה

osi wesimrat YAH wayhi-li lishuah

YAH is the abbreviation of YAHWEH. With this name HE introduced himself to me in a dream:

In spring 2004 I rented the “Beit Yona” in Jerusalem for 3 weeks. I wanted to know what it had to do with me as Yonah. This time developed as a personal retreat in which I received many dreams. One of them, a Hebrew inspiration, particularly moved me. “Mi misrachi YAH yishlach” (YAHWEH will broadcast from an oriental). Who this oriental is and what he would send remained open. Also, in a dream I was promised that I could do a banking apprenticeship in Jerusalem (curriculum vitae).

Since then I have had a lot of experiences with YAHWEH; pleasant and less pleasant. I know myself by His hand. Life is really exciting. I keep learning new things. Sometimes it is almost too much for me. The path is not always straight. Sometimes it zigzags, as if to make the trail invisible.

My bank apprenticeship lasted from November 5, 2007 to November 4, 2010. YAHWEH still teaches me new things every day, probably for life.

The daily motto (lot) of the Moravian Brethren in Exodus 15:11 fits this:

“Who is YOU equal among gods, YAHWEH?

Who is like YOU, glorious in holiness?

(HE) does terrible acts of glory: miracles! ”

(Own translation)

מי-כמכה באלם יהוה מי כמכה נאדר בקדש נורא תהלת עשה פלא

mi-chamochah ba’elim YAHWEH mi camochah ne’dar bakodesch nora tehilot osseh fele
