Wednesday – you were told, human!

I have to collect my thoughts first. My faith is shaken! My brother with cancer died just before noon today. In the course of the afternoon I bid my brother farewell for almost an hour on his deathbed. My faith is not enough to call him back to life!

I cannot yet grasp death; especially because I had set all my expectations for the fulfillment of my July 22nd 2013 dream. My dreams so far have always been very reliable. Is my calling as Israel’s Redeemer fundamentally illusory? I feel a great deficit in faith and humility.

Micah 6.8 occurred to me spontaneously. It is a slogan of the Moravian Brethren that has been drawn four times since 1999, the last time on February 26, 2013:

הגיד לך אדם מה-טוב ומה-יהוה דורש ממך כי אם-עשות משפט ואהבת חסד והצנע לכת אם-אלהיך

higid lecha adam ma-tow umah-YAHWEH doresch mimcha ki im-assot mischpat weahawat chessed wehatznea lechet im-eloheicha

“You have been told, man, what is good and what JAHWEH demands of you, namely to do right and practice gracious love and humbly walk with your God.”

God is faithful, regardless of my state of mind, I wrote on September 12, 2013. Yes it is!

God is sovereign and His ways are entwined. “Humble walking with your God is required of you, man.”
