Shabat – 5th Siwan 5775 – Christian Shabat HaGadol – wedding ring swapped from left to right

The experience with my wedding ring, which I am now wearing on my right hand, is worth its own diary entry.

During my prayer in my little study – I’ve developed my own little liturgy – something extraordinary happens once again. At the end of ‘Our Father’ I get up from my knees and stretch my arms up for the doxology, which, as is well known, no longer belongs to the actual ‘Our Father’. Immediately afterwards I sing a slightly changed song from the house group time in Zurich dialect:

“Lord I thank you because you are so good to me,

Your grace, your truth has no end;

That is why I take everything for you and need me for your kingdom;

Let the people see, YOU are still the same! ” …

… “like in the burning bush of Moses”, I add immediately. ‘YOU are inexplicable, unfathomable, inexplicable, incomprehensible.’ Ehyeh ascher ehyeh – “I want to be the One I want to be!”

‘YOU more incomprehensible have grabbed my right hand.’ In my imagination I imagine this that Yahweh is grasping around my upper body, holding my right with my left hand. “I am the arm of God” (*).

Today I hold my left hand with my right hand, but only notice it after a while, how my left hand hurts because of my wedding ring. Without thinking twice, I change the wedding ring from my left to my right hand, where it is now stuck and cannot be moved. It is well known that Germans also wear the wedding ring on the right.

I am confused and have to sleep through the matter first and check whether I should delete the entire diary entry or whether it has ‘hands and feet’.

(*) (I must explain that sometime later on)

It is now 11:45 p.m. The first restful sleep is behind me. I feel spiritually present.

The confusion is gone. The wedding ring on my right ring finger is a fact. It’s so tight that I think I would tear my finger off the ring if I could tore enough. It is clear to me that I don’t delete the diary entry, but leave it there.

In the future, the imaginary left arm of Yahweh, which wraps around my back, will meet my right hand and embrace it, including the wedding ring, like at the hands of Germans. My marriage is thus virtually under the control of the Lord Yahweh. Nothing can happen to it but the will of Yahweh. My wife will have to accept this whether she wants to or not!

With the Germans it was already the case during the Shoah, which makes it clear that the Shoah was willed by God. God had judged the German Jews, but at the same time, shortly after the end of the war, established the Israeli state. The ways of God are so unsearchable in advance!
