Preamble 6th continuation – yom shlishi – 11th Nissan 5776

Yom shlishi – 11th Nissan 5776 – the goodness of YAHWEH lasts indefinitely

“For good is YAHWEH; to eternity His mercy, and to generation and generation His faithfulness.”
(Psalm 100:5, own translation, daily motto of the Moravian Church)

כי-טוב יהוה לעולם חסדו ועד-דר ודר אמונתו

ki-tov YAHVEH leolam chassdo wead-dor wador emunato

Psalm 100 is what is known as a thank-offering psalm. We are to offer thanksgiving; that is, give thanks even when the mind does not feel like it.

Yes, YAHWEH is good and His grace lasts forever. We know this theoretically; but when His blows, e.g. illnesses, hit us, the knowledge, the inner certainty, threatens to disappear. When we are dying, we do not care so much about future generations. Then we are complete with us; then it really needs a sacrifice to thank God.

Therefore it is so important that we internalize the promise of Reichenschwand, as long as we still can. Goodness, grace, faithfulness, (GGT) is a trinity that really carries.
