July 20, 2013 Saturday – golden wedding

As a former bride’s guide, I give a short speech on the occasion of the golden wedding of my brother and his wife. Among other things, I make the following statement:

“As a memento of today, I have brought you a candle. On it I have pasted the Herrnhut Brethren Society’s daily motto for today, which is found in Psalm 118. It is in Psalm 118, verses 22 and 23, and it says: “The stone that the builders abhorred has become the cornerstone. From YAHWEH this has come to pass. It is marvelous in our eyes.”

Christians believe that this cornerstone is Jesus Christ and thus is a landmark; a light. Jesus had said of himself, “I am the light of the world.” But one can also bump up against a cornerstone. This is what the Jews did to Jesus, and to a large extent they still do today. There are Jews who, when they hear the word “Jesus,” spit. My real mission in life is to educate the Jews with a website about the worldwide and eternal significance of Jesus Christ.” (June 12, 2013)

Previously, I had said the following in connection with my brother’s cancer:

“I am glad that we both had similar experiences with visions. I think it is wonderful that God spoke to you so concretely when you were suffering the most severe pain. You were able to read in a vision on February 27, 2012 that He would guide you through it. When I asked you on your 80th birthday what this could mean concretely, since we all have to die in one way or another, you had no answer. I hope and believe and pray for you that God will lead you through into the new world and I also hope that you can take your wife with you. The new world as I understand it is described in Isaiah 65 from verse 17. I hope the same for me and my wife.”
