erev jom rischon – 9 Iyyar 5780 – confession of guilt

I, Jehoshua, plead guilty to oversleeping the end of Shabbat for the second time.

A week ago it was two hours; 9 minutes today.

I’m sorry, dear Heavenly Father.

Please forgive me!

I thank you for being merciful and gracious.

Psalm 103:8 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
8 The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.

רחומ וחנון יהוה ארך אפימ ורב-חסד

rachum wechanun Yahweh erech apayim weraw-chessed

It is a great miracle in my eyes that the attractiveness of mercy and grace appear exactly in the psalm that, after my Big Bang experience in 1980 and my inability to pray and read the Bible for several months, was the first thing that returned to my as mind .

The two attributes already appear in the fourth verse, only in reverse order: grace and mercy.

That is the reason that I recite the 103 psalm after the beginning of Shabbat and before the end of Shabbat.
